LEYBURN LADIES’ LUNCHEON CLUB RULES
1. The Club shall be called the LEYBURN WOMEN’S LUNCHEON CLUB – (amended 1994 to THE LEYBURN LADIES’ LUNCHEON CLUB). The object of the club is to bring together women interested in the various topics of the day.
2. No form of propaganda is permitted.
3. The Club shall meet in The Garden Rooms at Tennant’s, Leyburn. The Annual General Meeting shall be held in May.
4. The management of the Club shall be conducted by a committee of not less than seven members who shall serve for three years. The Hon. Secretary and Hon. Treasurer shall be appointed by the committee from its members, three of whom shall form a quorum. The Vice-President shall be elected from the existing committee.
Any suggestions regarding the management of the Club, lectures etc. should be sent to the Hon. Secretary.
5. In the event of a vacancy upon the committee during the year, it shall be filled by the committee.
6. All replies for attendance must be received by the Hon. Treasurer by the set deadline.
a) Any non-member may only visit the Club twice in any session.
b) No member may send a non-member substitute to the Luncheon.
7. The annual subscription shall be decided at each Annual General Meeting, payable at the beginning of the session and should be sent to the Hon. Treasurer. New members will pay a Joining Fee of £2.
a) Members joining the Club during the second half of the session to pay half the subscription, plus the £2 Joining Fee.
8. The committee shall have power at all times to alter, amend or add to these rules, but any such alteration, amendment or addition shall be announced at the subsequent Luncheon and shall be binding upon all its members. Such new rules must be confirmed at the Annual General Meeting or at a Special Meeting. The Chairman of the committee shall be entitled to vote at all committee meetings and, in case of equality of vote, shall have the casting vote.
9. A quorum for any General Meeting shall be one fifth of the number of members.
